Cobham Mission Systems Charity Committee has really helped the JTYAF to make a difference with a fantastic donation of £5128.43!  Huge thanks to Cobham for their generosity which will be used towards the 5 year lease of the JTYAF 16 seater mini bus. 

Peter Lemon is a bit of a machine when it comes to running and we were absolutely delighted when he took on the Bournemouth Marathon for the JTYAF raising a fantastic £125.

The success of the JTYAF has only been made possible by our trustees, volunteers, donors and supporters. It's been a team effort. The support we received at our Sainsbury's collecting day recently, just shows what can be achieved when we all work together. 

The JTYAF was thrilled to be invited to a presentation event with Exxon Mobil at their Fawley Refinery. 

Emily and Simon Brown took on the challenge of climbing all the Welsh mountains over 3000 feet in 24 hours to raise money for charity.  The JTYAF was delighted to be one of them.

The Dorset Plane Pull 2016 was a great event, definitely the best yet and the JTYAF had an amazing day!  Stig's Boys & Midas Men pulled in 33.25 seconds which made them runners up for the second year in a row for the teams of 20 and Team Tythorn came in a very respectable seventh, with 36.02.

The sun was certainly shinning on the JTYAF for their 8th VIP Hopspitality Day at the Bournemouth Air Festival.  Guests enjoyed a fantastic flying programme which included the Red Arrows, the Sally B Flying Fortress, the Typhoon, the Blades, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and many more.

A new exciting attraction, the Activate Trampoline Park, recently opened it's doors on the Ferndown Industrial Estate and kicked everything off with a fantastic launch party. A huge thank you to Activate for supporting John's Foundation with this opening event and raising an amazing £137.

The JTYAF is extremely privileged to have the support of the Tigers Freefall Parachute Display Team and they recently organised a Tandem Skydive Day for our supporters. 

We were overwhelmed with the support of all the customers at Sainsbury's Ferndown on our first charity weekend.  We did have a little help from Mickey Mouse and The Stig but raised an incredible £751 in donations! 

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation was honoured to be chosen as the charity to benefit from the recent British Beach Polo Championships at Sandbanks.

Wimborne Rotary Club donated a fantastic £750 to the JTYAF.  This funding was the proceeds of their Santa Fun Run at Badbury Rings. 

 A year of fun with Cllr Steve Lugg, Chairman of East Dorset District Council, raised a fantastic £1944 for both of his chosen charities, the JTYAF and PASHA.

Our congratulations to all the Air Cadet Junior Leaders who successfully completed Test Phase on Course XVII and graduated as Qualified Junior Leaders at RAF Honington.  The Air Cadet Junior Leaders Course is one of the toughest but most rewarding of the Cadet’s leadership courses. 

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation is delighted to have the support of Paul Hannah The Estate Agents who have donated a fantastic £300 to the charity through their sales referral programme.

The JTYAF was absolutely delighted to receive an amazing £650 raised by Stitched4Charity, which will make a huge difference to the opportunities which we can provide for local young people in the year ahead.

Junior Leader Shaun has successfully completed the Stockport Trail Half Marathon in aid of the JTYAF. In total he has raised a whopping £1032.54 for the charity through sponsorship running the marathon and table top sales.
