JTYAF Hospitality Raises over £10,000

The sun was certainly shining on the JTYAF for their 8th VIP Hopspitality Day at the Bournemouth Air Festival.

Guests enjoyed a fantastic flying programme which included the Red Arrows, the Sally B Flying Fortress, the Typhoon, the Blades, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and many more. The Royal Marines started the show with their beach assault but for the JTYAF the favourites were the Tigers Freefall Parachute Display Team, who are great friends of the charity and popped into chat to the guests after their jump. They also made their jump flying a JTYAF flag!  A fantastic sight above the beach at Bournemouth and a great profile raiser for the charity.

Over £10,000 was raised on the day and we would like to extend our thanks to all our guests and supporters for their kindness and generosity.  We received a wonderful selection of aviation themed prints and visits which included a visit to Heathrow's Conrol Tower and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.  These prizes were donated by local artists, organisations and individuals and  formed the basis of  the Silent Auction which raised almost £4000.  We must also thank the numerous local businesses and individuals who donated prizes for our raffle which alone raised £1180.

Our lovely team of volunteers from Barclays worked extremely hard at the event, meeting and greeting, selling raffle tickets and organising the Silent Auction.  We are extremely grateful to Di Trott, Liz Marsh, Nina Selvey, and Lesley O'Brien for their continued support and also to Barclays for their generous matched funding scheme which makes a huge difference to the total figure raised on the day.

Thanks must also go to JTYAF Trustee, Maurice Patterson as without his support this event would not be possible and to Tracey Williams and Gail Green whose event management team make this such a special occasion for our guests.

We are extremely grateful to all the following for their generous support of our Silent Auction and raffle:-
