The JTYAF was honoured to have been selected by Wimborne Model Town as their charity of support for 2023. We were invited to the grand opening where we were presented with a cheque for a fantastic £100!
The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation was founded almost 16 years ago and has recently reached an incredible milestone.
A member of the Aces Cheer cheerleading squad has received support to help with the cost of new cheerleading shoes and hotel accomodation fees.
These outstanding young people have now raised more than £20,0000 for John’s Foundation, a fantastic fundraising achievement which will support a great many young people to follow their dreams.
A huge thank you to Julie and all the members at Ferndown Golf Club, who supported the JTYAF so generously. To raise £11,436 is testament to the kindness and generosity of all those who contributed and an achievement to be truly proud of.
A 15 year old from Weymouth who is participating in the Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award has had funding to help with the cost of a pair of walking boots and a sleeping bag.
The JTYAF has contributed towards a trip to Buddens Farm Activity Centre for 18 students, making it possible for them to join their school friends on this summer residential.
The JTYAF is delighted to support a talented young football player who has recently secured a 2-year scholarship at Prodirect. A bursary will help him to buy the football boots he needs to support his performance.
The JTYAF has recently funded a course of 1:1 swimming lessons for a 10 year old girl who has a fear of water that she is desperate to overcome.
