Vintage Afternoon Tea Raises over £2000!

Volunteers getting involved in the flag waving

Some of the team who helped on the day

The JTYAF Vintage Afternoon Tea with the fabulous Land Girls, raised an amazing £2104!

The Land Girls are an amazing duo and made the afternoon a very special occasion for all our guests. We can’t thank them enough for their continued support. There was plenty of flag waving and many guests enjoyed a good old sing-a-long too. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and the feedback we have had was very complimentary of both the Land Girls and the actual afternoon tea itself.

The Barrington Centre was the perfect venue and we would like to express our thanks to Conor, the Manager, for his help and support with this event.

The Manager at M&S FoodHall donated a £50 gift card which gave us a whole trolley full of bread and goodies!

The Manager at sainsbury’s ferndown donated milk, spread, mayonaisse & sugar for the tea.

The whole community came together to support the JTYAF which was absolutely incredible. We received donations for the tea from Rodda’s Cornish Clotted cream and jam, Tremains Tea Hut 4 freshly baked delicious cakes together with cup cakes, Asda Poole sandwich fillings, spread, cheese, ham, cucumbers, cress Asda Bournemouth scones, Asda Castlepoint sweet treats, clingfilm and gloves, Sainsbury’s Ferndown milk, spread, mayonaisse Tesco Ferndown gluten free products, Marks & Spencer Food Hall Ferndown donated a £50 Gift Card which covered the bread and all the products for our Coronation Chicken, Lakie Hill Farm eggs, and great friend of the JTYAF, Derith, who baked some delicious gluten free cakes.

These donations meant that almost all of the money raised will benefit young people. Without our fabulous team of volunteers however, none of this would have been possible.

During the day 16 people leant a hand. Liz and her amazing team of volunteers from the Barrington Centre together with the JTYAF volunteers were all crucial to making the event happen.  Special thanks, must go to Jan for providing her beautiful China, and to Judy, Terry and Sara, for raising £600 on the raffle alone!
