A new exciting attraction, the Activate Trampoline Park, recently opened it's doors on the Ferndown Industrial Estate and kicked everything off with a fantastic launch party. A huge thank you to Activate for supporting John's Foundation with this opening event and raising an amazing £137.

The JTYAF is extremely privileged to have the support of the Tigers Freefall Parachute Display Team and they recently organised a Tandem Skydive Day for our supporters. 

We were overwhelmed with the support of all the customers at Sainsbury's Ferndown on our first charity weekend.  We did have a little help from Mickey Mouse and The Stig but raised an incredible £751 in donations! 

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation was honoured to be chosen as the charity to benefit from the recent British Beach Polo Championships at Sandbanks.

Wimborne Rotary Club donated a fantastic £750 to the JTYAF.  This funding was the proceeds of their Santa Fun Run at Badbury Rings. 

 A year of fun with Cllr Steve Lugg, Chairman of East Dorset District Council, raised a fantastic £1944 for both of his chosen charities, the JTYAF and PASHA.

Our congratulations to all the Air Cadet Junior Leaders who successfully completed Test Phase on Course XVII and graduated as Qualified Junior Leaders at RAF Honington.  The Air Cadet Junior Leaders Course is one of the toughest but most rewarding of the Cadet’s leadership courses. 

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation is delighted to have the support of Paul Hannah The Estate Agents who have donated a fantastic £300 to the charity through their sales referral programme.

The JTYAF was absolutely delighted to receive an amazing £650 raised by Stitched4Charity, which will make a huge difference to the opportunities which we can provide for local young people in the year ahead.

Junior Leader Shaun has successfully completed the Stockport Trail Half Marathon in aid of the JTYAF. In total he has raised a whopping £1032.54 for the charity through sponsorship running the marathon and table top sales. 

Alex Macpherson is a great friend of the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) and with his next challenge he aims to inspire people, particularly young people, to really think about the effect their journey is having on the planet and consider alternative ways of getting from A to B. He also aims to highlight the problems of homelessness and the plight of people living on the streets.

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) received a donation of £100 from Fitness League teacher Debbie Stanley and her Ferndown class.

The donation was made possible thanks to the ladies donating their pennies and small change over the year which when added together made a fantastic total of £100 for the charity.

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) was delighted to be chosen as ‘Charity of the Year’ by Midas Construction and is looking forward to an exciting year in partnership. 

Junior Leader Tom has successfully completed his triathlon in aid of the JTYAF.

The triathlon included swimming 5 km, cycling 15 km and then running for 5 km. He has raised over £350 in total.

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation was delighted to receive the proceeds of a year of fantastic support from Amberwood House Care Home in Ferndown.

Thanks to Paul Hooker, the JTYAF enjoyed a brilliant Curry Night at the Cinnamon Lounge in Verwood.

Alan and his team put on a fantastic buffet and with Paul’s enthusiasm and the generosity of the supporters an incredible £457.86 was raised on the night!
