Young Snooker Star Shines on International Stage with JTYAF Support
/The JTYAF is proud to be supporting the ambitions of talented young people, and recently, we had the privilege of helping a gifted snooker player to enter the World Snooker Federation Championships in Bulgaria. Thanks to our contribution, he was able to compete on an international level, progressing impressively to the last 32 before narrowly being defeated by a Scottish opponent.
Reflecting on his experience, our award winner shared how much he learnt during his time in Bulgaria. The trip provided invaluable lessons and has been instrumental in developing his snooker skills. His hard work and dedication soon paid off, as he reached the Quarter Finals at the English National Under 21’s Championships in Walsall. Looking ahead, he will be competing in the English National U18’s Championship later this season, continuing his journey in the sport.
Balancing his sporting achievements with academic commitments, he is currently focusing on his GCSEs—a testament to his commitment both on and off the table. We wish him every success as he continues to pursue excellence in snooker and education alike.
