The JTYAF is delighted to celebrate a recent award to a talented young musician who has been offered a place on an Actor Musician BA Degree course at university, starting this September. This exciting opportunity marks the beginning of a new chapter in his musical and creative development, as he prepares to combine performance, acting and musicianship as part of his degree studies. As part of the course, he will be required to take on a new instrument, adding an extra challenge to an already inspiring journey.
To help him get started, the JTYAF has funded the purchase of a cello, giving him access to the instrument he will need as he develops new skills at university. The Foundation has also provided a headphone amplifier for his guitar.
He has already performed in ten musicals, including playing Shrek at Wimborne Tivoli with the Wimborne Musical Theatre Society and in August he takes on the role of Marius in Les Misérables with the Mayflower Summer School.
We are proud to support this dedicated young musician as he takes the next step towards his future, and we wish him every success for his studies.
