A huge congratulations to Stuart, who completed his first marathon while raising an incredible £775 for the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation. He took on the challenging 26.2-mile New Forest Marathon, a multi-terrain course winding through the heart of the New Forest National Park, with plenty of hills—and plenty of encouragement along the way.

Reflecting on the experience, Stuart said: ‘The vest felt heavy with the responsibility of doing the JTYAF proud over a distance I’d never come close to before. Hearing one volunteer say that her son had been in John’s class at school, and another volunteer from the Army explain that he had completed several fundraisers for John, kept my legs going. It was an emotional day, especially because John’s Foundation had supported my niece, Lauren, in pursuing her dream of dancing with West End Kids.’

We really can’t thank Stuart enough for his brilliant support. His fundraising will make a really important difference to the lives of the young people who will benefit from it.
