The JTYAF is thrilled that Phoenix Musical Theatre has chosen John’s Foundation as their charity partner this year. The connection is particularly poignant as John was a member of Ferndown Phoenix as a boy and even performed at the Barrington Theatre as Prince Chulalongkorn in The King and I. It’s a special full-circle moment as Phoenix celebrates their 40th birthday this year and their very first show back in 1986 was also The King and I.

John’s time with the company created many treasured memories, and his wonderful performance remains particularly special to his family. We are deeply grateful to Phoenix Musical Theatre for honouring that connection and supporting the work carried out in his memory to help local young people pursue their ambitions.

In conjunction with The Really Useful Company, Phoenix Musical Theatre will stage Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at the Barrington Arts & Community Centre from Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 October 2026. Performances include Thursday and Friday evenings, together with a Saturday matinee and evening show.
