Opening Doors to Adventure: Supporting Ten Students on Their Duke of Edinburgh Journey
/We’re delighted to share how the JTYAF has been able to support ten students from Lytchett Minster School as they take part in their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expeditions.
All ten students are eligible for Pupil Premium, and we’re proud to have covered the full cost of their expedition fees, helping to ensure that financial barriers don’t stand in the way of opportunity. Two of the students are embarking on the Gold Award, while eight are taking on the Bronze Award, with hopes of progressing to higher levels in the future.
The JTYAF is extremely proud to support the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme. It offers young people fantastic opportunities to challenge themselves, build confidence, and gain valuable life experience. From outdoor expeditions and adventure training to volunteering, skill‑building, and physical activities, the Award helps young people grow, discover their strengths, and stand out as they move forward in life.
We’re thrilled to play a part in helping these students step outside their comfort zones and make memories that will last a lifetime.
