Dorset Plane Pull 2026

Congratulations to our determined “pullers” who gave their all on August Bank Holiday Monday at the Dorset Plane Pull. A 35,000 kg Boeing 737 was hauled 50 metres, and we couldn’t be prouder of the East Dorset Sector RAF Air Cadets team that took part.

Twenty cadets and staff from Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and Ferndown squadrons worked together to complete the pull in an impressive 52.54 seconds, raising an incredible £1,119.38 for charity. Their teamwork, stamina and spirit made for an unforgettable performance and a fantastic fundraising result.

Huge thanks to every cadet, staff member, and to the friends and family whose support made this possible. Well done to the whole team!

We must also thank our friends Ray and Lorna who have volunteered with us at the Plane Pull for all of the 16 years it has been running. We couldn’t do it without them!
