VIP Hospitality at the Bournemouth Air Festival

The JTYAF Hospitality Day at the Bournemouth Air Festival was a resounding success raising over £8000 for the foundation.  This was the result of a great deal of hard work and also the fantastic support received from so many local businesses and friends of the JTYAF.

Thanks to Kevin Patterson and Yewbarrow we were able to offer on-line booking for the first time this year and as a result sold over 200 tickets which had a massive impact on the success of the day.  Our 'Silent Auction' and raffle made a major contribution to the fundraising and we were lucky enough to have four ladies from Barclays on the team, who did a fantastic job organising the sale of raffle tickets and managing the auction. Barclays generously matched the funding raised which obviously made a big difference to the day.

We were lucky enough to see several crew members visit the marquee and mingle with the guests.  A big thank you to Elly Sallingboe and the crew ofthe Sally-B 17 Flying Fortress, the Tigers Parachute Display Team and many more who took time out of their busy schedules to come along and show their support.

The following individuals and businesses were extremely generous with their support and we would like to pass on our thanks to them all.

We would also like to thank JTYAF Trustees, Geoff Beck and Tony Hambleton who worked extremely hard to ensure that the event was a success.  However, without Maurice Patterson at the helm, non of this would be possible and we are extremely grateful to him for his energy, commitment and valued support.

Luckily we also had Astrid on the team who captured every moment of this special day and if you would like to visit Astrid Photography you can share some of those moments with us.  There is also the opportunity to purchase photos direct from Astrid's website.
