A teenager from Ferndown is set to travel to Peru in July 2017 with a group of students from Ringwood School, organised by Camps International.
He will be involved in a series of community projects at Lake Titicaca such as making bricks out of straw and mud for use in houses and schools.
The core objectives of the expedition are:
- Live in a rural community and work on important social and cultural projects to improve the lives of local people
- Work on important forest regeneration projects
- Acquire and enhance key life skills that will assist in transition towards further education, training or employment
He has also been raising funds towards the trip by doing car boot sales, gardening, car washing and doing a sponsored swim.
We look forward to seeing some pictures from the trip next year!
