The JTYAF is honoured to have been selected by Wimborne Model Town as their charity of support for the next 2 years. We were invited to the grand opening on Saturday and even though the weather was disappointing, Wimborne’s very own Militia added to the atmosphere with muskets at the ready. Everything is looking fabulous and all set for the visitors to enjoy. We are also looking forward to an exciting year ahead.

Wimborne Model Town is one of the largest model towns in England and depicts the town as it was when it was originally built in the 1950s. It offers great fun for all ages with not only the model town but beautiful gardens, the Wareham Bears, an amazing Thomas the Tank Engine train layout, crazy golf, tea rooms and also a gift shop.

It’s a great opportunity for the JTYAF to promote the charity and raise important funds too. All donations in the water fountain will be come to the JTYAF and the Model Town is also hosting a raffle for a beautiful dolls house, and kindly sharing proceeds with the JTYAF. Raffle tickets are available from the ticket office in the Model Town.

We can’t thank Wimborne Model Town and the Holloway Foundation enough for this generous support. Thanks must also go to Emily for designing our lovely signs.
