Indian Adventure gets Gold

Noah recently returned from an expedition to India and this is what he told us about his trip and the difference his award has made to him.

Thank you doesn't even begin to come close to how appreciative I am of the foundation and the opportunities it has allowed me...............
Going to India was by far the most amazing experience of my life. Getting to experience the different culture, food and people has really put things in perspective for me. Nothing quite sums up the amazing views and environments in India and I have leant a lot both from the self-suffiecientness and teamwork aspects. I also completed my Gold DofE expedition section at 4350m altitude and in heat nearly 40 degrees which was both challenging and exhilarating. I was team leader and lead navigator during the 4 day trek and I now feel more confident in both the leadership of a group with new people and navigating completely unknown landscapes. The people I was with and the people I have met have created memories for life and help build me as a person. None of this would have been possible without the support you offered me through buying the neccecary equipment I needed for the trip, and I have attached the picture most special for me which is of me and a Monk showing me the plains of Ladakh, and the group picture we took at the beginning of our DofE expedition.
