The weather couldn't have been better for the second Ferndown Pram Race and the JTYAF were delighted to have a team on the start line.  With Joe Barnett, Derith Rolfe, Tina Batchelor and Pete Thornton pushing Linda Thornton, the baby, the team were battling against some tough opposition.  The Green Mean Machine, with Royal Marine Richie Puttock as Team Captain, took first position in an incredible 20 minutes and Richie said, "We'll train for it next year!"

It was great to see so many Ferndown folk supporting the event, cheering the teams on and making generous donations in the charity buckets.  The JTYAF were extremely grateful to the Green Mean Machine, the Speedophiles, Top Beer, Grange Athletic and Climacair who were all collecting for John's Foundation.  A special thank you must go to Chris Morson's Top Beer as they raised an incredible £411.73 for the JTYAF, from sponsorship and their charity bucket.

Thanks to Tony Brown, his Pram Race Committee and an army of marshals, this event is set to remain a firm favourite in the Ferndown calendar.  A huge thank you to all those involved but particularly to the teams that took part as without them and their sense of fun it just wouldn't happen.
