The JTYAF was thrilled to be selected as one of the chosen charities by Cllr Steve Lugg, Chairman of East Dorset District Council.  He organised a year of fun filled events which ranged from a Fashion Show to Burlesque Cabaret and a Spring Ball Spectacular to name but a few!

Steve and his wife Cathy worked incredibly hard during the year fitting fundraising into an extremely busy schedule.  Their efforts raised an incredible £1944 for each charity, both PASHA and the JTYAF!

This funding will make a real difference to a great many local young people as Steve has specified the money be used for the CEIL Project at Ferndown Upper School which aims to bridge the gap between education and employment.  Helping to prepare Ferndown students for the world of work will have a real impact on the local community and the attitudes and outlook of all the young people who will benefit. The students will be provided with opportunities that they wouldn’t otherwise have had, enabling them to develop professional skills through the experience of a working environment.

We will look forward to hearing about their achievements.
