The Dorset Plane Pull 2025 - JTYAF Teams Raise over £3000!

Congratulations to all our dedicated ‘pullers,’ who spent their August Bank Holiday Monday bravely pulling a Boeing 737, weighing in at 35,000 Kg, over a challenging distance of 50 metres at the Dorset Plane Pull event.

We were incredibly proud to have two teams participate this year: The Lean Mean Pulling Machine and the East Dorset Sector RAF Air Cadets.

The Lean Mean Pulling Machine made a triumphant return appearance, absolutely smashing their previous 2024 time of 37.57 seconds by completing the pull in just 31.68 seconds, while also raising a staggering £2,310.80 for the JTYAF. Special thanks must go to John, who organised this fantastic team, as well as to all the members, their friends, and family for their dedication and generosity.

The East Dorset Sector RAF Air Cadet’s team was made up of 20 cadets and staff representing Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, and Ferndown Squadrons. This was a truly remarkable group of young individuals who managed to pull a Boeing 737 in an impressive time of just 39.78 seconds, raising an incredible total of £1,095 in the process. Their effort was nothing short of outstanding, resulting in a fantastic fundraising achievement. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to every cadet team member, as well as all their friends and family, who supported them so generously.
