Swiss Adventure for Scouts

Earlier this year the JTYAF supported an application for funding from 34 local scouts requesting a contribution to help them with the cost of their trip to Switzerland. We were delighted to receive this message of thanks from Max on their behalf.

The camp was everything we had hoped it would be. The football field, not far down from where we were camping, proved to be a great meeting area for our scouts and other scouts from across the globe. We partook in various international activities, such as the Kander challenge, where we were put into random groups, providing an excellent opportunity to interact with the other international scouts and play games and learn about things with them at the same time.

Our trip to a remote hut in the mountains was breathtaking and proved to be a good experience all round. The high ropes activity was challenging and excellent fun at the same time.

All the scouts who went thoroughly enjoyed their time and it is safe to say that the funding we received was used well and that we are very grateful for it.
