Mayor of Ferndown's 40K Birthday Ride for JTYAF Challenge
/Councillor Terry Cordery, the Mayor of Ferndown, cycled 40 kilometers for John’s Foundation on his 87th birthday!
Terry and two family members completed the 40K route in 2 hours and 50 minutes without even taking a break. He is an absolute legend of a man and has made a really important difference to the JTYAF. Having already organised a quiz night that raised over £2,700, he has continued his fundraising with his cycling challenge. The ‘40 for JT’ event honored John's life on what would have been his 40th birthday, encouraging supporters to take on challenges related to the number 40.
Terry's 40K cycling challenge means a lot to everyone at the JTYAF. Pete Thornton remarked, "We can't thank Terry enough. He is a great friend of the JTYAF and inspires us all. Ferndown is front and centre of everything he does and he is dedicated to giving local youngsters the opportunities they deserve." We extend our heartfelt thanks to Terry, the Ferndown Town Council team, and all those who have supported Terry so generously. Huge thanks to Chloe and Ben too, who accompanied Terry on his ride.
