Quiz Night Volunteers - terry hadn’t arrived when the photo was taken

Our recent Quiz Night was a fantastic success and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who took part. The evening was filled with laughter, friendly competition and a wonderful sense of community.

A very special thank you must go to Liz, whose outstanding organisation made the JTYAF Quiz such a triumph. From rallying our brilliant volunteers and gathering an impressive array of raffle prizes, to organising the fish and chips and ensuring everything was perfectly in place on the night, her dedication and attention to detail were exceptional.

We are also hugely grateful to Mark, who generously gave up his time to be our quiz master. Alongside Karen, his professionalism, humour and energy ensured the evening ran like clockwork and made it such a fun and memorable event for everyone involved.

The raffle alone raised an incredible £600, and our heartfelt thanks go to Judy, Vanda and Terry for doing such a sterling job organising the prizes and selling tickets. Thank you also to Jan and Caroline for all their help on the night — every contribution truly mattered.

We are extremely grateful to the many local businesses who kindly donated raffle prizes, including Care UK, Lulworth Castle, Laguna Day Trips, Wimborne Model Town, Knoll Gardens, Boots Ferndown and Farmer Palmer’s, along with numerous generous personal donations from our amazing supporters. Our thanks also go to Herbies for providing their delicious fish and chips and to the Barrington Centre for hosting the event.

Altogether, the evening raised a fantastic £1,461 for John’s Foundation. This wonderful total will make a real difference, boosting the opportunities we can offer to local young people in the year ahead. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported the event and helped make it such a success.
