North Wales Scout Adventure Builds Independence and Confidence

A 13-year-old member of Christchurch Scouts has received a JTYAF bursary towards a seven-day Scout trip to North Wales. This exciting opportunity will enable him to join an organised Scout trip for the first time, having previously been unable to take part because of health challenges.

During the week, he will take greater responsibility for managing his health while enjoying a wide range of activities, including canyoning and zip-lining. The experience will offer a safe and supportive environment in which to build independence, develop confidence and create lasting memories with his friends.
