We are thrilled to announce that the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) has provided funding to enhance the library resources at West Moors Middle School. Thanks to this support, the school will receive a selection of new, high-quality and diverse books, which will be carefully chosen to complement the Accelerated Reader programme—ensuring every pupil can find books suited to their reading level and interests.
In addition, the funding will provide 40 pupils with subscriptions to ‘Listening Books’ together with 40 sets of headphones. This initiative will make a wide range of high-quality audiobooks accessible to those who find independent reading more challenging, helping every child to experience the joy of reading in a way that works for them.
This investment will directly support the literacy and personal development of all pupils at West Moors Middle School, fostering a lifelong love of reading and learning.
