Nicholas Andreou, a student from Ferndown Upper School has been awarded funds to help him pursue his dream career as a professional musician.
Playing the guitar has been my passion, and my favourite pastime for around eight years now, and learning the classical guitar has opened a whole new world of interest and enjoyment for me. In the not too distant future, I hope to publicly perform the classical guitar in the street of Wimborne to help me raise money towards my expedition in Ecuador next summer.
Additionally, I'm going to run a 'guitar club' at school from September for younger students who wish to seek guitar laying advice, or even students who want to learn how to play songs, or play in different styles.
Here's a picture of Nicholas with his JTYAF certificate and the guitar he purchased with his JTYAF scholarship.
We look forward to hearing you play soon!
