Canoeing Adventure for Two Guides on the River Wye

Chloe Davis and Celia Jones are excited about their forthcoming adventure.  They will be taking part in a canoeing trip with the Girl Guides from their Boathouse in Poole, which will take them along the beautiful River Wye.  The JTYAF is delighted to support them.

This opportunity will provide a great introduction to this  fantastic sport and result in a 1 Star BCU Award in Paddling.   Chloe and Celia will be assessed not only on their paddling skills but also their Rescue Skills, Safety, Leadership and Group Skills together with Theory.  Chloe intends to use this course as a stepping stone to a Kayak and Canoeing Coaching Award and it will give her a valuable experience for the Young Leaders Course that she aims to do in the future.  Celia aims to develop her team work and leadership skills which will stand her in good stead when she makes her application to university to study to become a vet.
