BU Public Services Students Ride 300 Miles and Raise Over £600!

A group  of five Bournemouth University Public Services students rode 300 miles to raise funds for the JTYAF and smashed their target amount with an amazing £664 in sponsorship! 300 miles is the distance from Bournemouth and Poole College to the Battle Grounds in Ypres in France and this challenge was a tribute to the 59,275 British troops who lost their lives in April 1915 during the 2nd Battle of Ypres.

The team

  • Alex Macpherson
  • Alex Huntley
  • Phil Lally
  • George Spicer
  • Liam Steele

covered 300 miles in memory of the men that died during the battle and they cycled the distance on static bikes at the Pure Gym at Tower Park.  This was a massive challenge and everyone here at the JTYAF is extremely grateful for this brilliant support.

It's not too late to sponsor them, why not visit their Justgiving page?  Every little helps.
