Amberwood House supported the JTYAF as their Charity of the Year for 2012 and what a fantastic year it was.
Pete and Linda were made to feel like one of the family and the staff worked extremely hard organising a whole host of fundraising events which provided some great fun and entertainment for the residents and their families. Maggie Tomlin the Home Manager certainly has a great team of dedicated staff whose energy and commitment is truly incredible.
Linda and Pete were invited to a cheque presentation which was attended by the Mayor of Ferndown, Terry Cordery and Elizabeth Young who had made a large donation on behalf of Amberwood in memory of her late mother. A fantastic £1,800 was raised for the JTYAF which will make a huge difference to the opportunities that we can provide for local young people.
A great big thank you to all the staff and residents of Amberwood House and as Pete said, “We’ll miss you, but you won’t miss us, because we’ll be back to see you at some of your exciting forthcoming events!”
