Royal Marine Richie Puttock takes on the London Marathon

Royal Marine Richie Puttock will be taking part in this year's London Marathon on behalf of the Royal Marines Association and the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation.

The London Marathon is one of the largest annual sporting events in the UK.  On Sunday 26th April Richie will take on the challenge of 26.2 miles around London with approximately 36,000 other runners as well as hundreds of professional athletes. They will make their way along the south of the Thames and then the north side after crossing the river on Tower Bridge. On to Greenwich, Blackheath and Buckingham Palace passing some of the capital's famous landmarks.
