A recent visit to Marwell Zoo by Brownsea Class from Beaucroft Foundation School was a great success.  The pupils enjoyed a ride on the Land Train, had lunch with their friends and were excited to be able to get up close to the animals.

To mark the end of offensive operations in Afghanistan three pilots from RAF Brize Norton will run 448 miles, a mile for each member of British service personnel killed during the conflict. They will run over 17 marathons in 17 days!

About Us

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) was set up in memory of John Thornton who was tragically killed in Afghanistan in 2008. 

The JTYAF provides opportunities for young people to help them to develop as individuals and fulfil their ambitions in life as John was able to do.
