Our Aims

To advance the lives of, and help, young people who are studying at Ferndown Upper School, are members of the Air Cadets' Dorset & Wiltshire Wing, or who are members of the Air Cadet Junior Leaders' Course.

We will do this by providing financial assistance for especially, but not exclusively, leisure time activities and pursuits, so as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society.

In 2010 we aim to expand and provide scholarships for the personal development of young people from additional organisations:- The Girl Guides, The Scouts, The Dorset Music Service, The Dorset Fire and Rescue Service Cadets Scheme and young employees from Sainsbury's Ferndown.

How our Aims will be carried out

We will award an annual grant and a number of scholarships and bursaries to each of the three founder organisations that we support. This will allow nominated individuals or groups to achieve specific goals, or to encourage personal development. In addition we will award a number of scholarships to young people from other organistations as agreed by the JTYAF board of trustees.

All applications for Scholarships and Bursaries should be made direct to the organisation not to the Foundation.
